The Elk County Prison is seeking a contracted LPN able to work rotating 7pm-10pm Monday through Friday and/or 8am -12pm and 7pm-10pm on weekends at a rate of $24.94 per hour. This position requires the person to be able to function independently by exercising sound nursing judgment based on knowledge, skills, and experiences in nursing situations. This position will work closely with the sick-line physician, Warden, prison staff, and inmates. Every other weekend and some holidays are required, approximately 25-30 hours per month.

　　Candidate shall review and execute a comprehensive Professional Services Contract as an Independent Contractor with County of Elk to provide service within the scope and standards of the PA Nursing Practice Act. In this regard, Candidate shall be solely responsible for obtaining professional liability insurance coverage of $1,000,000 per occurrence/ $3,000,000 aggregate, and for withholding and payment of all FICA, Federal, State and Local Income taxes. Candidate shall not be entitled to any fringe benefits which may be available to persona classified as employees of the County.
