In NC, we operate three pharmaceutical manufacturing facilities that are responsible for fulfilling different steps in our injectable and oral treatment supply chains. Our Emerging Technologies - Oral Finished Products facility in Durham, NC is a 194,000 square foot tableting and packaging facility that supports the production of our innovative oral treatments for patients with type 2 diabetes. OFP maintains a curious and pioneering spirit, harmonious with our growing pipeline of new products and emerging technologies.

The Position
Execute action plans as part of the OFP US Communication strategy. Develop communications materials that reflect Novo Nordisk culture & achievements to relevant stakeholders. Manage communication campaigns utilizing effective communication tactics.
Relationships
Director, Business Support.
Essential Functions
Assist communications team in developing & implementing a communications strategy designed to further company objectives
Stay current on industry trends & make recommendations for adjustments to communications strategies & practices
Develop & manage communication messaging & materials
Support Digital Communications Designer on visual, digital & written information, including management of editorial calendar
Support Employer Branding & other projects
Prepare & coordinate external visitor tours
Champion communications support of employee engagement activities, such as ERGs, CSR campaigns & other reward/recognition programs
Write editorial content for internal channels (e.g., NovoNews, digital signage, Yammer, etc.)
Support design & layout for visual assets for multiple channels, including work with agencies/vendors
Develop & manage process for visual communication updates
Other accountabilities, as assigned
Physical Requirements
Ability to work in an open office environment with the possibility of frequent distraction. Ability to travel up to 10% of the time. (% can change on a case by case basis based on the role).
Qualifications
BA/BS in public relations, communication or related field, or an equivalent combination of education & experience required
Relevant experience in visual communication development, effective communication campaigns or similar work preferred
Project management experience preferred
Outstanding written, verbal & public speaking/teaching communication skills preferred
Proficient with MS Office 365 & web-based communication tools preferred
Proficient with photography & video editing & production skills a plus
Experience using a variety of design & editing tools & software such as Adobe Suite preferred
Energetic & entrepreneurial approach & a strong attention to detail a plus
First line support & coordination with third-party vendor activities preferred
Lean manufacturing experience a plus
