  Brief Position Overview

  The roles of the Night Circulation Supervisor are to supervise student employees and maintain the effective operation of the circulation desk, including printing services, and to assist patrons with library resources which includes providing basic reference assistance. This person is responsible for seeing that the Coffee Cart is shut down, cleaned properly and stocked for the next business day. This person is also responsible for creating images for use in printed promotional materials and on social media, and manages the library’s social media accounts as time allows. This position includes evening and weekend hours during the academic year and shifts to 8AM-5PM when classes are not in session.

  General Statement

  The roles of the Night Circulation Supervisor are to supervise student employees and maintain the effective operation of the circulation desk, including printing services, and to assist patrons with library resources which includes providing basic reference assistance. This person is responsible for seeing that the Coffee Cart is shut down, cleaned properly and stocked for the next business day. This person is also responsible for creating images for use in printed promotional materials and on social media, and manages the library’s social media accounts as time allows. This position includes evening and weekend hours during the academic year and shifts to 8AM-5PM when classes are not in session.

  Duties and Responsibilities

  Evening Circulation Counter/Customer Service Manager

  Coffee Cart

  Reference assistance

  Supervision of assigned student staff

  Provide technology support to patrons of the library

  Provide printing and copy services for patrons of the library

  Manage social media accounts

  Produce library brochures and printed promotional materials

  Other duties as assigned

  Required Qualifications – Experience, Education, Knowledge & Skills

  Bachelor’s Degree

  Preferred Qualifications – Experience, Education, Knowledge & Skills

  Experience using PastPerfect Museum software

  Experience working in a library

  Experience with graphic design

  Skill in managing business social media accounts

  Ability to perform the duties and responsibilities of the position with or without reasonable accommodations, and

  Must be able to lift and move 35 pounds from different types and levels of shelving.

  Must be able to work while standing for long periods of time.

  This position requires working in a dusty environment at times.

  Title IX Coordinator

  The Title IX Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the University’s compliance with federal and state discrimination and harassment laws, including Title IX. The Title IX Coordinator oversees compliance with the University’s Discrimination and Grievance Policy. Specifically, the Title IX Coordinator:

  Coordinates educational programs and trainings regarding discrimination and harassment prevention for students and employees;

  Responds to and seeks to resolve reports of discrimination and harassment following the Procedures;

  Provides information about and, if requested, assists with criminal reporting;

  Provides information about resources for obtaining advocacy, healthcare, and counseling services; and

  Coordinates supportive and protective measures for members of the MSUN community.
