Citi continues to enhance its business control and governance framework by establishing Institutional Credit Management (ICM), a new function in the 1st Line of Defense, to consistently manage wholesale credit risk activities and the end-to-end lending process.
Lending Product Management (LPM) was established within ICM to manage the end-to-end lending process with teams focused on credit and transaction specific support, product, data management and reporting. Citi is hiring an experienced Head of LPM Execution to lead a team reporting directly to the Head of ICM Lending Product Management.
Key Responsibilities
Directly support the Head of ICM LPM to design, execute, monitor, and govern the wholesale lending end-to-end process across the platform including:
Leading a global team to develop, implement and manage best-in-class wholesale lending processes and credit administration activities.
Supports a global culture which demands excellence in execution of processing credit facilities, loan transactions, product, and data management.
Lead a team of process owners who are responsible for driving consistent processes across the organization with focus on execution, monitoring and continuous improvements.
Design and maintain applicable procedures in compliance with Citi standards including but not limited to desktop procedures and operating manuals.
Advocate and influence policy changes or related process / procedural changes impacting LPM managed activities.
Act as the primary liaison with internal and external stakeholders (Audit, Regulatory, Compliance, Exams, Partners)
Ensure governance and controls framework is effective and complies with Citi standards.
Create and maintain centralized administrative structures that support ICM LPM, (e.g., procedures, governance charters, materials, and management presentations)
Assist in development of KPIs/SLAs and process execution best practices across LPM.
Monitor compliance with all LPM related workflows, data quality and performance metrics, quality control, exceptions, and other production metrics and portfolio KPIs.
Lead remediation activities across wholesale lending process working with the global LPM teams
Represent LPM and act as a delegate on programs, governance committees, and forums.
Support the Head of LPM and other global function/business partners on strategic initiatives / projects partnering with transformation and product teams.
Manage staffing levels, produce staffing capacity analysis, drive efficiencies, and improve quality.
Manage internal communications, product training and voice of the employee.
Knowledge, Experience and Skills:
Strong knowledge of the wholesale credit lifecycle including lending products, credit agreements and collateral.
Deep understanding of operational processes supporting Wholesale Lending and Credit Administration.
A proven track record working with Technology and Operations on continuous process improvement.
Comprehensive understanding of appropriate enterprise and regulatory policies in relation to Wholesale Lending.
Track record of establishing a KPI/SLA/Metrics driven culture
Strong Enterprise Risk Management experience working with the three lines of defense.
Strong operational risk management knowledge (e.g., issues management, activity, and control Design).
Proven experience in effectively engaging with banking regulators and internal audit.
Demonstrates managerial maturity and discipline in upholding the best interests of the enterprise.
Track record of managing globally diverse, high-performing teams.
Strong organizational and project management skills; proficient at leading complex projects with multiple key stakeholders.
A strong mentor and coach – one with the ability to rally followers and strengthen the overall risk culture of the organization.
Highly skilled communicator who ensures key messages are cascaded throughout the organization.
Challenges the status quo of current policies and procedures, championing continuous improvement and innovation to ensure the right balance between policy requirements and client experience.
Ability to navigate organizational complexity and break silos while influencing positive outcomes for LPM.
Creates and sustains a network of strong partnerships with ICM teams, Lines of businesses, Risk, Operations and Technology and other functional support in all segments & geographies.
Strong organizational and follow-up skills and the ability to multi-task effectively in a high-volume environment
Ability to see the ‘big picture’ in a complex environment.
