Key Responsibilities

Administrative Support: Provide essential support to attorneys and paralegals, including calendar management, scheduling meetings, and drafting correspondence.

Document Preparation: Assist with drafting, editing, and organizing legal documents, such as contracts, court filings, pleadings, and discovery materials.

Case Management: Maintain and organize case files, track deadlines, and handle court and e-filing processes at the state and federal levels.

Legal Research: Conduct basic legal research using online legal databases like Westlaw or LexisNexis.

Client Interaction: Communicate professionally with clients and external parties as needed to obtain information, schedule appointments, or provide updates.

Requirements

Qualifications

Experience: 2+ years of experience as a legal assistant or in a similar legal support role; litigation experience preferred.Skills:

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and legal case management software.

Excellent organization and time-management skills to handle multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines.

Strong written and verbal communication abilities.

Knowledge: Familiarity with legal terminology and processes, as well as Texas court systems and procedures.

Education: Paralegal certification or relevant coursework is a plus but not required.
