Description Legal Assistants support lawyers directly, and may be required to supervise other legal staff such as legal secretaries or file clerks.The ideal Legal Assistant will have sound technical and computer knowledge as well as excellent analytical, communication and organizational skills.In some cases, law firms prefer three to five years of legal experience in a law firm or other corporate legal department.

　　Research and retrieve electronic documents from a variety of court and agency web sites

　　Organize computer database input and retrieval

　　Implement word processing, filing and faxing

　　Direct matter management and record keeping

　　Check to make sure copied documents are legitimate like the originals

　　Round up documents for photocopying/scanning

　　Organize e-documents and files

　　Form correspondence and memorandum

　　Archive documents and assemble data as directed by lawyers and paralegals

　　Perform legal research and investigative tasks, including obtaining information or documents from outside parties, as directed Requirements - 2+ years of relevant experience

　　Conducting routine discovery

　　Demonstrated knowledge of Personal Injury Litigation

　　Personal Injury Law experience preferred

　　Civil litigation experience desired

　　Expertise in Civil Litigation Experience

　　Deep understanding of e-Filing

　　General familiarity with medical records

　　Adeptness in Personal Injury Law

　　Experience with Personal Injury Litigation

　　Organizing and tracking files for important transactions or case documents, including pleadings and voluminous discovery documents; creating and maintaining a case-management database

　　Drafting legal court documents, such as pleadings, motions, affidavits and subpoenas; transactional documents, such as trusts, wills, contracts and real estate leases; and closing documents

　　Investigating the factual evidence of a transaction or case and preparing exhibits, charts and diagrams to display information

　　Experience assisting lawyers in preparing for transactional closings, depositions, hearings, trials and conferences; completing many administrative tasks, including, working on individual cases or transactions
