The Engineering and Technology Departmentat the University of Wisconsin-Stout offers six undergraduate programs,including Computer & Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering(B.S. and M.S.), Mechanical Engineering, Plastics Engineering,Engineering Technology, and Packaging. The successful candidate will beexpected to teach in at least two of the areas listed in theResponsibilities section below. This is a full-time position with intentto renew. The anticipated start date is January 4, 2024 or August 19,2024. RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsibilities of the candidate include: Teachlecture and/or laboratory courses (in person, online, or hybrid) relatedto one or more of the following topics (depending on experience,qualifications, and willingness to learn new subjects): Impacts ofEngineering Communication Engineering Design Fundamentals of PlasticsMaterials Material Removal and Forming Joining and Casting Chemistry ofMaterials Metallurgy Engineering Numerical Methods DynamicsThermodynamics Fluid Mechanics Heat Transfer Controls andInstrumentation Mechanics of Materials Machine Component Design SystemDynamics Engineering Capstone Assign homework, hold office hours,administer exams, and organize material in the Canvas learningmanagement system. Provide student academic advisement and conductassessment of student learning. This includes contributing to academicprogram assessment, accreditation, and continuous improvement processes,in collaboration with faculty and staff.
