This position will be responsible for the following duties. Be the primary instructor for PHYS1102W, the second semester of algebra-based introductory physics. For this part of the appointment, the duties are: 40% Lectures and preparation, in accordance with departmental instructional guidelines. Administration of class (through Canvas) and communication with students Preparation of syllabus, quizzes, tests, homework Supervision of teaching assistant. 15% Responsibility for administration of one or more discussion sections of honors introductory physics. 40% Responsibility for an additional discussion section and/or laboratory for an introductory class as required. 5% Other duties as assigned. Qualifications Requirements Lecturer positions require a Ph.D. degree in physics. Applicable training and/or experience related to the assigned job responsibilities. The person in this position must have the ability to teach introductory physics courses at the undergraduate level. Preferred Requirements: University level teaching experience with introductory physics or related courses will be viewed favorably.
