Pay Range: $67,372.00 - $89,935.00
Supports the Retail Training Manager by focusing on one or more aspects of the design, development and delivery of training programs and training curriculum in support of retail and operations initiatives and/or employee development. Collaborates with Retail and Ops business partners, which may include Branch, Territory and Market Managers to identify training and developmental needs and to formulate appropriate solutions.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree preferred
5 years banking experience preferred
3 years experience designing and delivering corporate training programs preferred
Skills and Abilities:
Supervisory experience preferred.
Demonstrates a strong training aptitude.
Proficient PC Skills.
Must possess a willingness to learn new systems in business areas for which the incumbent may have limited prior experience.
Proficient in facilitating and delivering training through various channels as appropriate (in person, virtual, webinars, etc.).
Problem solving/decision making skills.
Skilled in developing and writing instructional material appropriate to varying audiences.
Position requires a confident and positive attitude to master specific aspects of technology, systems, policy and procedure and convey that knowledge and confidence to those receiving the information and skills.
Excellent listening, communication skills are necessary.
Organizational, interpersonal and customer relation skills.
Ability to function in a fast paced, ever-changing environment.

Tasks Performed:
50% Responsible for the design and development of training programs and training curriculum in support of the retail and corporate system training initiatives, project related training needs and/or employee development under the direction of the Retail Training Manager. Performs the assessment and measurement for the learner's benefit. Plans and executes the development and delivery of training curriculum and content based on the strategy communicated by the Retail Training Manager. Assists in the preparation and implementation of programs through various channels to include LMS, in person, virtual, webinars, etc. Conducts training to end users or trainers.
30% Conducts research and or sources training vendors and technology in reference to the division and or bank’s overall training needs. Collaborates with the NBT business partners to ensure various delivery channels are being used to meet the training needs of employees. Will need to assist and or facilitate training content which may require travel and/or overnight stays.
15% Evaluates revisions to new and current training programs to keep material up to date with bank regulations, policy and procedures, etc. Programs will incorporate our company’s core values, sales/service techniques, policy and procedural change and system upgrades. Also assist NBT Bancorp departments with survey development, logistical support and result compilation and analysis when needed.
5% Other duties as assigned.
