A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A LICENSED ELECTRICIAN
In this seasonal electric position, you are a crucial part of our fieldteam. Each day, you eagerly install, maintain, and repair a variety ofelectrical components, including branch circuits, power distributionwiring, generators, lighting systems, and many more! Using yourexpertise, you competently perform scheduled preventative maintenance onexisting electrical systems. You can always be counted on to diligentlyaccomplish every task that comes your way.
With avid attention to safety, you perform ongoing risk and hazardassessments while executing every job. You always execute a timely responsewhen emergency service calls roll in, no matter the time of day. A confidentleader, you occasionally direct the work of our helpers to make sure everytask gets accomplished as well as keep your supervisor up to speed on jobprogress and requirements.
A team player, you always attend safety meetings and morning pre-taskstretching sessions. You also assist your team with all aspects of campsupport, including cooking, equipment operation, digging, and campconstruction. No matter how extreme the weather, you remain enthusiastic andready to squash any problem that arises. The climate can be challenging, butyou never back down! QUALIFICATIONS FOR A LICENSED ELECTRICIAN
High school diploma OR equivalentCurrent journeyman or master electrician license4+ years of documented experience in all phases of electrical work,including rough-in, trim-out, wiring of electrical equipment andfixtures, conduit installation, and power distribution wiringExperience with generators, switchgears, breakers, and disconnectsValid driver's license and United States passportWillingness to work outside on various job sites in extreme cold weatherconditionsExperience with remote and cold or polar environments would be beneficial. Acertification on the "NFPA 70E: Standard for Electrical Safety in theWorkplace" training courses is preferred. Experience with commercial andindustrial facility construction as well as co trols would be a plus. Can youremain tactful, courteous, and polite, no matter the circumstance? Areyou adaptable, especially during potentially volatile weather conditions?Do you excel in a fast-paced environment? Are you organized, tidy, andefficient? WORK SCHEDULE FOR A LICENSED ELECTRICIAN
This seasonal skilled trade position works 9-hour days, 6 days per week andenjoys Sunday off. Additional hours will occasionally be needed. The schedulecan vary based on location, weather conditions, and work requirements.
