Responsibilities
We are seeking a mission-focusedLead Network Lab Engineer to support and contribute to our government customer’s success in Washington, D.C. or Reston, VA!
Duties, Tasks & Responsibilities:
Possesses extensive knowledge of network and infrastructure hardware, software, operating systems, and related tools.
Help build and maintain the lab in good working order.
Ensure patches and upgrades all of lab systems to include administrative support systems like AD and vCenter.
Ensure that Lab is ready to support customer mission at all times.
Installs, reinstalls, configures operating systems and software.
Lead lab technology upgrade or expansion projects, including installation of hardware and software and integration testing.
Ensure CM of lab configurations to support a variety of test configurations at various stages of implementation.
Assists with development of network-related implementation and deployment documentation.
Tests and evaluates network designs to determine whether customer requirements are met efficiently and effectively.
Support development of testing aids for validating lab configurations or systems in the lab
Assists with testing and documentation for products/solutions/systems being tested.
Works under limited supervision
Lead research and testing of new or modified hardware or software products to determine performance and interoperability.
Supports engineers or other staff in the design or implementation of new solutions.
Lead validation of lab environment disaster recovery plans.
Qualifications
Required Experience, Education, Skills & Technologies:
Years of experience with one of the following:
High School/GED plus eleven (11) years of relevant experience
Associate degree plus nine (9) years of relevant experience
Bachelor's degree plus seven (7) years of relevant experience
Master's degree plus five (5) years of relevant experience
PhD plus three (3) year of relevant experience
IAT II
Security Clearance Level:
C urrent CI Poly
