　　The Maintenance Lead position assists the plant maintenance mechanics with coordinating and controlling activities of the plant and facility. In addition, the maintenance lead helps plan and provide mechanical equipment maintenance, troubleshoots, and solves problems for manufacturing and building equipment. Maintains records (including work orders, SOPs, LOTO, confined spaces, etc.) and equipment to reduce delays, costs, and breakdowns. Contributes to a work environment where all employees work safely and respectfully with one another.

　　Knowledge, Education, and Experience

　　High School or General Education Degree (GED). Minimum of five years of hands-on experience in the manufacturing maintenance field, including mechanical, electrical, millwright, equipment installation, welding, fabrication, and supervision. Experience with layout and fabrication work is preferred. An understanding of PLCs, VFDs, and HMIs to communicate knowledgeably with management and outside contractors. All positions require verbal and written communication skills, accountability, detail, organization, and the ability to manage time, react to change productively and handle all other tasks as assigned-the ability to take the initiative and make independent decisions.

　　Mental and Physical Requirements

　　The mechanic performs in a warehouse and factory environment. While performing the duties of this job, the mechanic is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. The mechanic will occasionally be required to sit; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear. Regularly required to lift and/or move at least 50 pounds. Occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 75 pounds.
