Java Development Lead

　　Cognizant Digital Engineering practice is looking to hire a motivated and energetic Full Stack Java Lead Developer.

　　Location: Trenton, NJ (Remote Opportunities Available)

　　Day-To-Day Responsibilities:

　　* Responsible for providing team oversight in all phases of the software development life cycle

　　* Be a hands-on engineering leader, designing, building and Supporting APIs for corporate systems

　　* Provide team leadership and ensure code and performance quality of team members both onshore and offshore

　　* Contribute to the generation of solution architecture proposals

　　* Contribute to and run with project implementations decisions

　　* Collaborates with stake holders, product owners and engineers (both internal and external)

　　* Assist client in documenting operating processes and changes

　　* Code and maintain complex components of information systems.

　　* Operate as the point of escalation for internal software engineers on the project.

　　* Other responsibilities include attending stand ups, System Architecture Design, API development, participating in refinement and planning meetings, deploying to AWS environments and production support.

　　* May participate in talent acquisition and interviewing activities

　　Key Qualifications:

　　* 10+ years Development Experience with J2EE technologies: Java, JSP,, JAXB, JDBC,

　　* 8+ years Development Experience with Spring Framework, Spring Boot

　　* At least 5 years' experience developing and deploying AWS cloud technologies to include: EKS, ECS, Lambda, Event bridge, Elastic Beanstalk and DynamoDB

　　* 5+ years experience utilizing MongoDB,Azure SQL DB, Oracle, Object/Relational Mapping, Query performance tuning.

　　* Ideal candidate will have obtained "AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate" certificate.

　　* Strong experience with API concepts and technologies such as REST, JSON, XML, SOAP, YAML, and Swagger

　　* Experience with Angular(frontend development)

　　* Strong knowledge of container systems and tools such as Kubernetes and Docker

　　* Knowledge of GitHub Actions and/or Jenkins automation

　　* Experience leading and mentoring onshore/offshore team engineers, exemplifying best practices, review code and help solve complex technical problems.

　　Salary and Other Compensation:

　　Applications will be accepted until 2/28/24.

　　The annual salary for this position is between $145,000 - $165,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

　　This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program and stock awards, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
