This is a promotional role, and upon completing a minimum of three months ofemployment there is a $500 bonus and PCL will cover all fees related toobtaining a Traffic Control Technician Certification or a Traffic ControlSupervisor Certification through CCA or ATSSA.
Here's how a Lead Flagger/Laborer for our Denver District 16th Street MallProject, contributes to our team by:
Performing traffic control and flagging activities as needed; followingsafety rules and regulations on all work zone and flagging sites, includingplacing signs, barricades, traffic cones and other warning devices;safely controlling vehicular, pedestrian and construction traffic movementsin a work area; duties may vary according to job assignment.
Operating pickups and flatbed trucks (not requiring a commercial driver'slicense), and miscellaneous hand tools in accordance with all safetyregulations and procedures; conducts routine equipment maintenance and dailyequipment inspections according to standards.
Supervising Flaggers and ensure company standards are being complied with.
Completing daily logs (vehicle, time, project, etc) timely and accurately.
Maintain a clean job site: pick up all tools and equipment and secure jobsite each day to eliminate potential hazards.
Material handling and storage.
Loading and unloading trucks and hauling and lifting materials.
Ensuring that tasks are completed in accordance with all applicable company,local, state, and federal rules and regulations.
Effectively communicate problems or concerns to the Foreman, ProjectSupervisor or Safety Manager.
Must be able for extended periods of time to perform all the following:stand, walk, jog, climb, kneel, squat, bend at the waist, graspand hold various tools and objects with both hands.

What you will bring to the role:
Must be 18 years of age or olderMust be able to pass a pre-employment drug and physical screening.
Must provide a CDOT Flagger Card
Must be able to provide minimum of 1000 logged hours as a flagger
Valid Driver's License with a clean MVR is required.
Firm knowledge of proper use of equipment, materials and supplies used intraffic operations related to heavy/highway construction work.
Some knowledge of first aid and applicable safety precautions.
Ability to work independently and in groups to complete daily activitiesaccording to work schedule.
Strength to perform average lifting of up to 50 pounds, from the ground toabove head.
Ability to communicate orally and in writing.
Ability to use equipment and tools properly and safely.
Ability to understand, follow and transmit written and oral instructions.
Ability to meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency.
Ability to professionally interact with supervisors, project supervisors,coworkers, public, subordinate employees, other contractors, projectowners and their agents.

The salary range for this position is between $22.00 and $25.00 perhour, based on experience and qualifications.
