3 Landscape Laborers needed for temporary full-time employment from April 1, 2024 through December 15, 2024 at Dresden Land Works, Ltd., 12095 Bottom Road, Dresden, Ohio 43821, 614-554-4869. Duties involve performing labor specific to landscape installation operations which include planting, hardscape installation, seeding, strawing and erosion control installation; assist in loading materials and equipment at the beginning of each day in the shop yard; lift and relocate materials (up to 80 pounds) including plants, mulch, straw, landscape matting and stone, at the direct of the crew foreman; assist with jobsite clean up at the end of each workday; unload materials and equipment from vehicles to shop yard at the end of each work day; Operate vehicles and powered equipment, such as mowers, tractors, twin-axle vehicles, snowblowers, chain saws, electric clippers, sod cutters, and pruning saws; mow or edge lawns, using power mowers or edger; care for established lawns by mulching, aerating, weeding, grubbing, removing thatch, or trimming or edging around flower beds, walks, or walls; use hand tools, such as shovels, rakes, pruning saws, saws, hedge or brush trimmers, or axes; prune or trim trees, shrubs, or hedges, using shears, pruners, or chain saws; gather and remove litter; maintain or repair tools, equipment, or structures, such as buildings, greenhouses, fences, or benches, using hand or power tools; mix and spray or spread fertilizers, herbicides, or insecticides onto grass, shrubs, or trees, using hand or automatic sprayers or spreaders; provide proper upkeep of sidewalks, driveways, parking lots, fountains, planters, burial sites, or other grounds features. No education or prior work experience is required. Must be able to lift, push, pull or carry objects up to 80lbs. Employer will offer 40 hours of work per a week, 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 pm, including ½ lunch break, Monday-Friday. Work will be performed in multiple worksites throughout Muskingum, Licking, Delaware, Coshocton, Guernsey, Holmes, Wayne , Harrison, Monroe, Morgan, Noble, Washington and Tuscarawas county; worker may be required to stay overnight for larger out of town multi-day projects; Worker is required to pass a drug test prior to the start of employment. Workers will be paid no less than $17.46 per hour. Overtime available at time-and-a-half at the rate of $26.19 per hour (5 to 10 hr./wk. possible ). Employer will use a single work week in computing wages due. Workers will be paid weekly on Friday by payroll check. The employer will provide on-the-job training in the proper use and maintenance of landscaping power tools and equipment. Employer will make all deductions from the worker's paycheck required by law. Employer will offer room and board in a shared, dormitory style rental apartment at a rate of $950/month, to be split among occupants ($316.67 per person.) Employer will deduct the cost of housing for employees who choose them. Employer will arrange and pay directly for worker's transportation and advance payment for the worker/provide advance payment for worker's subsistence (meals and if necessary, lodging) from the place of recruitment to the place of work (Dresden, Ohio).
