Position SummaryThe Junior Software Engineer will assist with the design, develop and implement a variety of software solutions to meet the needs of both government and commercial customers. This includes the necessary requirements analysis, business process modeling, programming, testing and documentation development for individual and team project tasks. Responsibilities•Collaborate with technical staff in the execution of the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).•Assist Software Engineers in writing well- designed, testable code.•Integrate software components into a fully functional software.•Assist Software Engineers in the development of software verification plans and quality assurance.•Document and maintain software.•Troubleshoot, debug and upgrade existing.•Deploy programs and evaluate user.•Comply with project plans and industry.•Work with Software Engineers to ensure software is updated with latest features.•Maintain information systems and/or cloud environments on which software resides and/or relies on.•Troubleshooting, debugging, maintaining, and improving existing software.Qualifications•Bachelor's Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science or related field.•Systems programming experience on Linux (and/or) Windows is preferred.•Understanding of the object model: design principles/idioms, object relationships and design patterns.•Familiarity with popular coding languages and frameworks.•Linux+ and/or Security+ certifications preferred.•Experience building web applications preferred.•Experience with SQL Server and/or MySQL, RESTful API design and development, cloud infrastructure, and Git, specifically GitLab, preferred.•Development, cloud infrastructure, and Git, specifically GitLab, preferred.•Security Requirement: This position requires the ability to gain and maintain security clearance thus meeting eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
