This position will work on a hybrid schedule: Mondays and Fridays from home, and Tuesdays through Thursdays on site at Matco's headquarters in Stow, Ohio
We are looking for a creative, results-oriented individual to produce engaging, high-quality content that supports the acquisition, growth and success of Matco Tools franchise customers. This will include written and video content for social media, email marketing campaigns, and sales support collateral.
You will work closely with the brand communications and digital marketing teams to execute communications strategies; identifying and researching key topics and proactively monitoring the communications landscape to look for opportunities to deepen engagement with the audiences you serve. You are a writer at heart, with excellent communication skills and a sharp eye for details.
With a learning mindset, you are open to feedback, and pivot easily. You have a knack for gathering input – both in formal settings and informally to improve your work. You understand communication fundamentals and strive toward continuity and consistency across communication touchpoints.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
Coordinate the input, building and share-out of a franchise marketing content calendar
Coordinate and lifecycle existing franchisee communication materials – maintaining and communicating timelines, circulating assets to gather feedback, and connecting with creative teams to update as appropriate
Request, receive, prioritize, and assimilate feedback from cross-functional team members
Develop creative briefs for graphic design teams to complement the written content you create
Report out on status of all projects in flight and ensure timelines are met – minimize reworks and edits by providing gathering quality input up front
Maintain message trees and modular core narratives to support internal teams across the touchpoints they serve
Refine and manage KPIs to track effectiveness of various franchise marketing campaigns
This role typically requires a university degree and at least 1-2 years of experience in a marketing, copywriting, content development or digital marketing role developing outstanding written communications
The Content Specialist role will be receiving input and feedback from a cross-functional team. It’s critical that this person possesses the interpersonal skills and curiosity to seek to understand where the feedback is coming from - asking thoughtful questions and building on their current knowledge to grow in the role.
Strong attention to detail. Demonstrated accuracy and thoroughness of work; monitors own work to ensure quality.
Advanced computer skills including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Experience with collaboration technology (e.g. SharePoint, Microsoft Teams, etc.) as well as Hubspot email marketing is a plus.
Self-starter able to work in a fast paced, complex environment, and able to be innovative and creative in work responsibilities.
