Engineering Technician V

　　This position requires an active Public Trust clearance.

　　The Engineering Technician V specializes in the practical application of engineering principles. The role demands a wealth of experience, technical expertise, and a knack for problem-solving.

　　This is a part-time position.

　　Compensation & Benefits:

　　Estimated Starting Salary Range for Engineering Technician V: $28.81 - $55.00 per hour.

　　Pay commensurate with experience.

　　Full time benefits include Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, and other possible benefits as provided. Benefits are subject to change with or without notice.

　　Engineering Technician V Responsibilities Include:

　　Update facility drawings reflecting as-built (existing) conditions. Coordinate and discuss with engineers, linemen, electricians, draftsmen and management for correctness of facility drawings. Make necessary revisions on the drawings and provided to draftsperson to correct. Review the drawings for accuracy. Archive completed as-built drawings in accordance with UGPR guidelines. Provide support in technical studies, review of engineering data associated with on-going projects, draft technical correspondence, specification development, and perform engineering analysis. Travel to WAPA Offices, facilities, substations, customers, and communication sites. Review engineering data for up-to-date information to meet current standards. Recommend designs, based on WAPA criteria and engineering practices. Reviews and recommendations include relaying, control, metering, layout, and system protection issues. Specification Research - Assist with analysis of design data, specifications, construction plans, and program documents prepared by company, agency, and WAPA designers. Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

　　Experience: 5+ years in engineering technology roles. Proven track record of handling complex tests, troubleshooting, and providing technical guidance. Proficient in using advanced engineering tools and equipment. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Excellent communication skills for collaboration and mentoring. In-depth knowledge of relevant industry standards and regulations. Detail-oriented with a focus on maintaining high-quality standards. Capacity to analyze complex systems and propose effective solutions. Skill in working closely with engineers, technicians, and other stakeholders. Willingness to stay updated on industry trends and advancements. Must pass pre-employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal
