  Title: Jr. Accountant

  Location: Edison, NJ

  Pay: $20 an hour

  A leading manufacturing company is looking for an Jr. Accountant to join their team! This role includes a large range of duties

  including but not limited to, Collections, invoice processing, 1099's Vendor Maintenance, Vendor Management, AR invoice processing, reconciliations, working heavily within Microsoft Excel, Provide timely and accurate transaction processing of exception and miscellaneous items related, accounts receivable, auditing, quality assurance, and controls, and much more!

  Job Responsibilities:

  • Order House Charge cards from supplier and forward to companies, stores or customers

  • Monitor electronic transfer of invoices from POS for all Members/Stores

  • Apply payments and enter miscellaneous deposits in Oracle Receivables for participating (Member Services) companies/stores

  • Enter exception items into Oracle Receivables (receipt reversals, credit memos, adjustments, etc.) for participating (Member Services) companies/stores

  • Reconcile and prepare monthly schedules for balance sheet (receivable and clearing) accounts for participating (Member Services) stores/companies

  • Meet designated deadlines for Member account reconciliation

  • Communicate with customers and other Wakefern Divisions regarding collections and other issues

  • Monitor electronic transfer of scripts from McKesson Enterprise to Oracle Receivables for all Members/Stores

  • Research discrepancies between POS and Oracle Receivables for Full Member Services stores/chains

  • Open, sort and batch mail and prepare mailed and downloaded remittances for scanning

  • Research and apply payments in Oracle Receivables

  • Enter exception items into Oracle Receivables (credit returns, debit memos/takebacks, adjustments, etc)

  • Perform Balance Sheet reconciliations for Full Member Services stores/chains

  • Review Agings and monitor collection for Full Member Services stores/chains

  • Perform periodic write-offs/adjustments of uncollectible aged items; coordinate write-off of material items

  • Communicate with Third Party Providers, stores/Members, and other Wakefern Divisions regarding collections and other issues

  Experience:

  Bachelor's Degree in Accounting

  Strong Attention to Detail

  Proficient Microsoft Excel skills
