We are seeking a dynamic and collaborative Senior Java Engineer with a passion for problem-solving and a proactive approach to development. As a Senior Java Engineer you will help lead projects, contribute to agile meetings, and have an engineering mindset and approach to solving complex issues.
Responsibilities:
Create and modify solutions for complex software problems, covering coding, testing, debugging, and documentation.
Participate in leading smaller engineering efforts and contribute to larger, enterprise-wide initiatives.
Collaborate across departments and divisions to achieve optimal outcomes for customers.
Ensure the readability and transferability of API microservices layers for both web and mobile applications.
Exhibit excellent communication skills, from presenting to developers to engaging with C-level contacts.
Requirements
Key Qualifications:
Strong technical skills in Java, SQL Server, GitHub, Openshift, Kafka, and test automation.
Experience in both cloud and on-premises development, with a critical emphasis on on-premises development.
Familiarity with scrum methodology and working on scrum teams.
In-depth knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) practices and industry-standard concepts.
Ability to design, code, test, debug, document, and maintain solutions to complex software problems.
Proficiency in systems design for security and stability.
Deep understanding of Operating Systems and/or Application Development Platforms.
Capability to debug code and analyze complex log files for troubleshooting and defect analysis.
Sound knowledge and experience with querying databases for data lookup/update.
