Job Summary:

　　DT Professional Services is seeking an entry-level IT Technician to support our NSWC team in Corona, CA! A strong background with PC components is essential. You will be responsible for installing, maintaining, improving, testing and troubleshooting data processing and data distribution systems. This process involves integrating legacy peripherals with latest technology hardware. The IT Technician will troubleshoot connectivity issues while onboard ships during installations and while providing mission support at NSWC Corona or one of the various remote facilities we support. The selected candidate will provide help desk support for data analysis enclaves utilizing Window Server Environments. Most of the tasking will be provided with training due to proprietary systems. The ideal candidate will at times be required to make decisions on the fly in order to guarantee mission success. 

　　Responsibilities:

　　Perform daily duties by providing engineering technical support, help desk functions, network connectivity checks

　　Inventory and catalog hardware and software for all IT Telecommunications systems during the design, development, integration, and installation phases

　　Build or prepare computer systems for deployment

　　Perform data cataloguing and transfer across various network domains

　　Provide technical support for software maintenance or use

　　Monitor computer system performance to ensure proper operation

　　Read documents to gather technical information

　　Collaborate with others to resolve information technology issues

　　Resolve computer software problems

　　Install and maintain computer hardware and software

　　Test software performance

　　Test computer hardware performance

　　Document operational activities

　　Create electronic data backup to prevent loss of information

　　Implement security measures for computer or information systems

　　Analyze security of systems, network, or data

　　Resolve computer network problems

　　Document network-related activities or tasks

　　Configure computer networks

　　Provide technical support for computer network issues

　　Troubleshoot issues with computer applications or systems

　　Test computer system operations to ensure proper functioning

　　Monitor the performance of computer networks

　　Analyze data to identify or resolve operational problems

　　Test computer hardware and software performance

　　Update knowledge about emerging industry or technology trends

　　Conduct research to gain information about products or processes

　　Basic Qualifications:

　　Must possess an active DoD Secret Clearance or the ability to reinstate one within the past 24 months

　　COMPTIA Security+ Certificate (Must have prior to hiring)

　　Must be able to pass a Background Check

　　Ability to lift 35+ pounds

　　Excellent communication and customer service skills 

　　Experience supporting product suites that are composed of multiple networking hardware and software products

　　Understand how a network operates. I.E., data flows, TCP/IP process, etc.

　　Working knowledge of the Active Directory environment at a basic level like creating/deleting/unlocking accounts

　　Understand Network documentation that describes physical and logical as well as implementation and management standards

　　Experience with IT system integration, installation, and testing

　　Preferred Qualifications:

　　Operating System Training – Windows Server 2019 and/or Windows 10 (Proof of Training completed)

　　Ability to travel an estimated­ 35%+ travel per year

　　The compensation range for this position: $31.00/hr - $33.00/hr.
