Job Description

　　An employer is looking for a Network Manager to sit in Schenectady or Buffalo, NY. This is a new position that will focus 50% on hands on networking and strategy and 50% people and vendor management. This person will lead a team of 1-2 employees and a managed service vendor in the design, development, configuration, and management of network devices, firewalls, and data networks. This person should be comfortable in tuning, performance monitoring, troubleshooting, deployments, documentation and support and will help lead efforts in modernization of WAN technologies. He/she should be comfortable performing analysis of the current technology and figure out the networking strategy for the future along with the security manager. Additionally, the Manager will do some project management, define and articulate enterprise plans, work with current vendors , help with negotiations/cost savings, and ensure there are enough resources to support initiatives.

　　Skills and Requirements

　　-6+ years of experience in Networking

　　-Experience with Cisco networks

　　-2+ years of lead/management experience

　　-Telecomm experience

　　-Strong communication skills -Palo Alto experience null
