Our Audit tools are used in high-impact cases to inform auditors and the Capital One leadership team.

　　We are seeking a Lead Software Engineer who is passionate about Software Architecture and solving complex business problems. The ideal candidate should have expertise in building highly available cloud native software solutions that support all aspects of the Audit management lifecycle, and help re-imagine the audit process through advanced technologies. Technology stack includes AWS Infrastructure, Java, Python, AWS Lambda, Micro Services, AWS RDS, React or Angular, and middleware technologies.

　　Responsibilities:

　　Share your passion for staying on top of tech trends, experimenting with and learning new technologies, participating in internal & external technology communities, and mentoring other members of the engineering community

　　Proactively identify optimization opportunities in technology and process

　　Develop strategic plans to drive holistic, horizontal solutions that reduce challenges and toil faced by engineers

　　Collaborate with product managers, and deliver robust cloud-based solutions that drive powerful experiences to end users.

　　Utilize programming languages like Java, TypeScript, SQL, Python, RDBMS and NoSQL databases, Container Orchestration services including Docker and Kubernetes, and a variety of AWS tools and services

　　Lead software development, production support and incident management for Audit applications

　　Basic Qualifications:

　　Bachelor’s Degree

　　At least 6 years of experience in software engineering (Internship experience does not apply)

　　At least 1 year experience with cloud computing (AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud)

　　Preferred Qualifications:

　　Master's Degree

　　7+ years of experience in at least one of the following: Java or TypeScript

　　3+ years of experience with React

　　3+ years of experience with AWS, GCP, Microsoft Azure, or another cloud service

　　4+ years of experience in open source frameworks

　　1+ years of people management experience

　　2+ years of experience in Agile practices
