This role is positioned to drive the success of the "New Health Care Company.This position provides an opportunity to transition from other private, public, government or military experience to a 3M career.As the Communications Director you will play a key role in all investor relationships and activities including the flow of financial and company information between the company, its shareholders and the financial community while working in the Brand and Communications Team. In this role you will work to develop and implement a strategy to effectively communicate the companys story to the investment community. Here, you will make an impact by:Develop and execute an annual investor relations engagement plan that supports the organizations business goals and objectives using consistent and compelling storytelling.Design and implement proactive and reactive communications programs to engage with current and potential investors, addressing their inquiries and concerns promptlyWorking closely with internal stakeholders to plan and execute regular earnings calls and webcasts, as well as other investor events such as roadshows and conferencesMonitor analyst reports and coverage, proactively addressing any negative sentiment or misinformationCollect feedback from investors and share it with executive management to help inform decision-makingYour Skills and ExpertiseTo set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:Bachelors Degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited universityORHigh School Diploma/GED from an accredited institution and a minimum of sixteen (16) years of experience in corporate communications, investor relations, financial communications and/or investment bankingTen (10) years of experience in investor relations, corporate communications, financial communications and/or investment banking in a private, public, government or military environmentAdditional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:Bachelors degree in business, communications, accounting, finance or related fieldMBA or other advanced degreeKnowledgeable of SEC regulations, financial disclosure requirements, GAAP, financial markets and investment principalsIn-depth knowledge of SEC regulationsHealthcare experienceKnowledge of financial analysis, valuation techniques and investor presentation best practices. Strong understanding of investor relations practices, including financial reporting, disclosure requirements and investor communication strategies.Proven track record of managing investor relations programs and developing effective communication strategies to engage and inform investorsExcellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to craft clear and concise me sages for different audiences, including shareholders, analysts, and investors.Ability to translate complex financial and investment information into easily understandable language.Experience in developing and executing communication plans, including press releases, earnings releases, annual reports, and presentations.For current employees, internal transfer restrictions may not apply.
