Description:
Responsible for developing specifications for manufacturing and assembly of Inverters.
This Engineer will work closely with the Powertrain Manufacturing team (PTME) to develop and execute Dynamic Control Plan and Product Validation Test plan.
Work with the Powertrain Manufacturing Team, PTME, to develop robust manufacturing and assembly processes for a high voltage inverter system on a battery electric vehicle and release the Engineering Specifications.
Develop Key Input Variables including material and process for Inverter System assembly including laser welding bus bars, soldering control boards, and soldering power modules to a cold plate
Develop Key Output Variables to confirm robust process including in process checks, Design Verification, and Production validation tests.
Create and release Engineering Specifications for the Inverter System Assembly and sub assembly processes
Skills:
PFMEA, soldering assembly, write specifications, process design, electronic modules assembly, hybrid/electric vehicle powertrain manufacturing, inverter
• Good understanding of Inverter Hardware & Key Systems Interactions
• Extensive knowledge of key attributes (Range / Fuel Economy, NVH, EMC) and key hardware elements (Weight, Cost)
• Experience working with supplier market tests, working with Ford Planning and Purchasing
• Proven people leading skills to guide team of engineers to achieve flawless delivery
