  POSITION SUMMARY

  The Inventory/Receiving Clerk is responsible for performing cycle counts, picking parts, issuing/receiving inventory, transferring parts, splitting shop orders as needed, and maintaining accurate inventory inside the “cage”, receiving and unpacking materials and supplies. The Inventory/Receiving Clerk relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job while working under immediate supervision.

  PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITES

  Performs bin maintenance and cycle counts.

  Receives and issues parts in and out of inventory.

  Performs appropriate data entry to issue/receive/transfer and adjust inventory.

  Splits shop orders.

  Maintains accurate inventory.

  Receives and unpacks materials and supplies, distribute accordingly.

  Counts parts to ensure all are accounted for.

  Operates forklift, as needed.

  Expedites all received goods.

  Maintains, cleans and organizes work area as needed.

  Assists in other areas where needed.

  Analyzes material with an X-ray scanner.

  REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

  Ability to work under strict time constraints and meet metrics in a timely manner.

  Detail-oriented and with an emphasis on efficiency and communication.

  Ability to accurately track inventory and counts.

  Experienced in PC use and software such as Excel and others.

  Must be able to operate a forklift or be open to receiving training and obtaining forklift training certification within 60 days of hire.

  Possess the ability to work independently and in a group setting.

  Must be able to work under supervision.

  The ability to work overtime, including weekends, is required.

  EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  High School diploma or equivalent.

  Experience preferred in Inventory, Receiving, and manufacturing.

  TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT USED

  Various computer software programs.

  Forklift, cardboard bailer, vertical storage unit.

  PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  Frequent unbundling, lifting, and moving bar stock to locations throughout the plant.

  Alternating amounts of sitting, walking and standing throughout the shift.

  Frequent use of hands.

  Occasional amount of bending/stooping, reaching, squatting, kneeling and pushing/pulling.

  Lifting/carrying to a maximum of 50 pounds. Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds frequently

  Must be able to wear appropriate safety gear such as hearing protection, safety glasses, safety shoes, masks, etc.

  Physical mobility, agility, and coordination.

  VISION REQUIREMENTS

  Must be able to read small print (6-12 font.), with or without vision aides. The operator is occasionally required to view items at 20 inches or less, with or without vision aides. Requires distance vision.

  Less than 90 decibels (TWA).

  Requires wearing safety glasses, earplugs (optional) and safety shoes.

  Requires using machine safety guards and switches.

  HAZARDS

  Exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals under 1/3 of the time.MISCELLANEOUS
