This multi-site position is responsible for performing functions to assist in the management, planning, coordination, control and direct activities involving materials inventory, inventory transactional accuracy, release and requisitioning of production materials.
Responsibilities
Monitors inventory of manufactured parts and purchased parts/materials to fulfill current and forecasted orders. Notifies appropriate manager when reorders are necessary.
Manages Cycle Count activities, identifying/correcting discrepancies and reporting accuracy to management.
Audits the recording of transfers and issues of materials in QAD, with responsibilities involving raw material, work in process and finished goods.
Reconciles work order reports, determining inventory variance root cause. Leads team to establish containment and permanent corrective/preventative actions.
Maintains effective material and product flow through production areas.
Audits the receipt and documentation of incoming materials, products or supplies, ensuring accurate counts of received goods and recording/correcting discrepancies.
Audits the shipment of outgoing materials, products or supplies, ensuring accurate counts of shipped goods and recording/correcting discrepancies.
Audits shipping and receiving reports and records/corrects all shortages, overages and damages.
Maintains effective organization of material storage yard. Directs shipping & receiving personnel in the movement and placement of raw material and customer owned property.
Audits the accounting of labor time for QAD, identifying/correcting discrepancies.
Follow company policies and procedures.
Support and/or participate in the organization’s Continuous Improvement Programs
Proactively participates in the AFG Holdings Safety Program
Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements
Proficient in MS Office and capable of learning/ using ERP software

Educational Requirements/Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent required
Some college preferred
Proven work experience in similar role
Minimum of 3 years' experience in a manufacturing environment.
