  Job Summary:

  Pratt & Whitney, a recognized leading producer of the world’s most powerful jet engines, is looking for dedicated individuals to support our organization. This position is in Military Engines Customer Support Engineering for the F135 Engine that supports the F35 aircraft. This position is within Pratt & Whitney’s military engine sustainment organization. The position will act as a primary interface with depot production and field bases for the overhaul and support of the F135 Engine. Internal interfaces with Support Equipment Engineers, Component Aftermarket Integrated Product Teams, Logistics Program Management, Program Office, Quality, and Fleet Management organizations. A wide variety of daily tasks are to be supported within the following categories:

  Key Responsibilities:

  Operate within cross functional work teams in an environment that supports operations, government customers, and program management.

  Support for authoring of technical dispositions for jet engine hardware & support equipment

  Support of MERLINS, Field Action Requests, Engineering Investigations

  Create a Dashboard that will allow communications of important processes (Significant Events/MERLINS/Action Requests/Quality Notifications between 1st and 2nd shifts and weekend coverage.

  Work directly ECU with integration lead to support various CIPT, IPT, and program related meetings.

  Help develop impact summaries for engine sections/hardware being updated by ECU introduction.

  Help with coordinating/documenting sustainment meetings to solicit feedback from various stakeholders with respect to ECU impacts.

  Opportunity to present/lead discussions in support meetings on behalf of CSE.

  Basic Qualifications:

  Enrolled in a degree program in Engineering or related majors.

  Must be a U.S. Citizen. This position may require access to systems/tools that are restricted to individuals who possess US citizenship.

  You will have at least 30 credits prior to starting your internship.

  You are graduating between Fall 2024, or later.

  Minimum GPA of 3.0 ​

  Proficiency in MS Office applications

  Preferred Qualifications:

  Ability to support operations in a fast paced, dynamic, and results based environment.

  Strong interpersonal, teamwork, communication, organizational, time management skills and the ability to work well with multi-disciplinary groups is required.

  Hybrid: Employees who are working in Hybrid roles will work regularly both onsite and offsite. This means that responsibilities of the job need to be performed onsite on a regular basis.

  Candidates will learn more about role type and current site status throughout the recruiting process. For onsite and hybrid roles, commuting to and from the assigned site is the employee’s personal responsibility.

  The salary range for this role is 52,000 USD - 128,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.

  Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.

  This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
