Role/Responsibilities/Qualifications
This role is to support the MIVI team on NASA's Orion program at LockheedMartin's Waterton Canyon facility in Littleton, Colorado. MIVI isresponsible for fully testing the software capabilities in integratedenvironments before delivering the certified SW products to formal end users.Integrators engage with the SW development teams that own the capabilitiesthey need to test from the start of development. As capabilities are builtup, the integrator starts testing in a simulation environment and then moveson to testing in feeder labs with HW in the loop, to close their feedercampaigns. Integrators develop expertise in different areas like RFcommunications, guidance and control, command and data handling, andmany otherThe ideal candidate will have experience and/or knowledge in aerospaceengineering, electrical engineering, and/or computer science andexperience with Microsoft Office products.
In this role, you will:Develop test scripts for integration of new software and hardwarefunctionalityCoordinate with SW development teams on how new capabilities work to determinerobust test approachesTroubleshoot problems found during integrationCoordinate with Subject Matter Experts at Lockheed Martin and NASARequired Qualifications and skillsU.S. CitizenshipEnrolled in an engineering discipline at an accredited college or university(electrical, aerospace, computer science)Have a GPA of 3.2 or higherProven ability to investigate, identify, analyze, and solve problemsStrong interpersonal communication skillsProven ability to work in a team environmentExcellent verbal and written communication skillsThe position requires working 40 hours per week.The pay rate for summer intern positions is USD$28 per hour.
