　　The Instrument Technician team maintains and calibrates all instrumentsand related equipment pertaining to flows, levels, pressures, processcontrol, PLC and Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA)systems.

　　\\Responsibilities\\

　　Maintains and calibrates instruments with emphasis on the SupervisoryControl and Data Acquisition (SCADA) equipment and related devices.

　　Responsible for maintenance of process related instrumentation, chemicalfeed, process control and other related water treatment and distributionequipment.

　　Maintains record of all maintenance activity as directed.

　　Responsible for installing and maintaining electronic Remote TerminalUnit equipment including but not limited to PLC hardware and theirassociated communications network.

　　Monitors circuitry of leased telephone lines, Ethernet, fiber andwireless networks used for data communications from remote locations tothe Hansen Treatment Facility.

　　Coordinates and assists outside contractors and Facilities Engineeringin the installation, configuration and programming of new electronicinstrumentation devices.

　　Maintains all chlorine feed instrument equipment, chlorine leakdetecting and chlorine application control equipment.

　　Maintains an inventory of parts, equipment, and tools on an assignedWaterOne vehicle.

　　Installs and maintains all Instrumentation equipment related to pressurerelief valve vault site locations in coordination with distributionpersonnel.

　　Maintains and calibrates confined space gas monitors per manufacturespecifications.

　　Performs checkout and startup on all new instrumentation relatedequipment installations.

　　Perform all duties pertaining to hazardous waste operations inaccordance with all applicable requirements.

　　Performs other job duties as assigned.

　　Required Education, Skills & Experience

　　High school graduate or have a GED.

　　Requires two years experience maintaining and calibratinginstrumentation and related equipment.

　　Must have thorough knowledge of electronics, hydraulics, pneumatics,process control and Remote Terminal Unit equipment.

　　Requires good basic math skills.

　　Strong troubleshooting skills.

　　Ability to read, interpret and understand blueprints, technicalschematics and technical manuals.
