PositionSummary In-Home Caregiving helps someone remain independent and in theirown home as early as 6 AM till 10 PM at night. CLA does not provideovernight care. Caregivers express that their work is extremelyrewarding and gives them a sense of worth being able to help others. Thework you do every day as an in-home caregiver has a purpose and helpsanother individual. Looking to work part or full time? Wanting to work 2or 3 hours a few times a week helping individuals in their home? Ourin-home caregiver position will work around your childcare, schoolschedule, other job or other life scenarios. We have clients on busroutes or within walking distance depending on your location! If youneed assistance getting to/from work - we work with CarePool to help youget to your client and back from (or to your next client!). Shifts rangefrom 1-3 hours at a time and candidate would travel between differentclients depending on the number of hours candidate wants to work. Thismeans the more hours you want to work, the more clients you will need toprovide cares for. While each person is unique and has different careneeds, below is a sample of personal cares you may provide while caringfor an individual at Community Living Alliance: Meal preparationPersonal cares - toileting, showering, incontinent care, brushing hair,brushing teeth, changing clothes, activities of daily living, etc.Provide assistance with household chores. Complete requireddocumentation of records of care Administer bedside or personal care,such as ambulation or personal hygiene assistance. Prepare and maintainrecords of client progress and services performed, reporting changes inclient condition to manager or supervisor. Plan, shop for, or preparenutritious meals or assist families in planning, shopping for, orpreparing nutritious meals. Perform housekeeping duties, such ascooking, cleaning, washing clothes or dishes, or running errands.Perform healthcare-related tasks, such as monitoring vital signs andmedication, under the direction of registered nurses orphysiotherapists. Change dressings. Bathe patients. Provide patientswith help moving in and out of beds, baths, wheelchairs, or automobilesand with dressing and grooming. Care for patients by changing bedlinens, washing and ironing laundry, cleaning, or assisting with theirpersonal care. Entertain, converse with, or read aloud to patients tokeep them mentally healthy and alert. Plan, purchase, prepare, or servemeals to patients or other family members, according to prescribeddiets. Care for children who are disabled or who have sick or disabledparents. Maintain records of patient care, condition, progress, orproblems to report and discuss observations with supervisor or casemanager.
