　　As a Platform Engineer, you'll use code to bridge the gap between software and hardware and produce an efficient and reliable infrastructure. By harnessing your creativity and passion for continuous learning, you'll create a fully digitized end-to-end process for managing the lifecycle of infrastructure resources. You'll deploy programmable, easily customizable infrastructure that embraces change and automates the deployment process to reduce risk.

　　You'll also analyze all platform level changes, monitor application impact, and provide appropriate technical solutions to resolve all issues quickly and efficiently. Actively manages and escalates risk and customer-impacting issues within the day-to-day role to management.

　　Responsibilities

　　• Achieves product commitments (and influences others to do the same) by using informal leadership & highly developed communication skills and contributes to or led technology communities

　　• Uses automation, system tools, open-source solutions, observability and 'security first' principles in daily work

　　• Contributes to team agile ceremonies, leads demos and presentations, helps new engineers learn established norms

　　• Initiates high level solution design approaches, and guides team to achieve desired key software delivery capabilities using automated, coded enterprise and observability

　　• Participates in internal speaking and advocacy events

　　• Supports research activities to adopt new technology solutions in ways of developing new capabilities

　　• Continues professional education and creates opportunities for core product teams to learn engineering best practices

　　• Coaches immediate chapter and actively fosters the adoption of new technologies

　　• Responsible for the maintenance of the Hadoop platform as well as multiple clusters (500+ servers)

　　Minimum Qualifications

　　At a minimum, here's what we need from you:

　　• Bachelors - Computer Science or related

　　• 3+ Years - (Software) Engineering, DevOps or related

　　• Internal applicants only: technical proficiency rating of competent on the Dreyfus engineering scale

　　Preferred Qualifications

　　Bonus Points If You Have:

　　• Hadoop Stack

　　o Spark

　　o Hive

　　o HDFS

　　o Hbase

　　• Familiarity with network setups

　　• AWS

　　o AWS Certifications

　　• Cloudera Exposure

　　The base pay for this position generally ranges between $86,500.00 to $146,100.00. Additional incentives may be provided as part of a market competitive total compensation package. Factors, such as but not limited to, geographical location, relevant experience, education, and skill level may impact the pay for this position.
