RSI EnTech, LLC is recruiting a SeniorHydrogeologist to join the Groundwater and Geochemistry Group (GGG). The GGGembraces innovation and is an industry leader in 3-D visualization and evaluation, geochemical assessment, and groundwater flow and reactive transport modeling, coding and field characterization. As a Senior Hydrogeologist you will work with a team of GGG scientists designing and implementing site characterization programs, developing conceptual site models, performing geochemical evaluations, configuring and calibrating numerical groundwater flow and reactive transport models and designing and evaluating redial alternatives. Sometimes you will lead, other times you will provide technical support to the team, but the work will always be technically challenging.The GGG primarily supports Uranium Mill Tailings Radiation Control Act (UMTRCA) and Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act (CERCLA) projects. A central GGG tenant is maintaining a good work life balance.
Hiring Range: $110,000- $150,000/yr. The anticipated starting salary pay range of $110,000- $150,000/yr.The offered salary may be more depending upon additional education, training, and experience of the selected applicant.
Required Education and Years of Experience:
MS or PhD degree in Geology, Hydrology, or Engineering with a minimum of 10 years of experience in Groundwater or related field.

Primary Responsibilities:
As a senior GGG member you will be expected to work with staff to develop scopes of work and associated budgets and schedules, prepare and execute work plans, hire and supervise subcontractors, and adhere to budgets and schedules. You will also perform and/or supervise groundwater evaluations, geochemical studies, numerical groundwater flow and transport modeling, and remedial design and evaluation. Senior Hydrogeologist serve as the writer, editor, and reviewer of all project documents. You will be expected to mentor and develop junior staff.
Essential Functions:
Work with a team of scientists and engineers to solve challenging groundwater problems.
Use innovative hydrogeologic and numerical groundwater flow and reactive transport modeling techniques.
Oversee the hydrogeologic and numerical groundwater flow and reactive transport modeling projects of junior staff.
Acquire, organize, and analyze environmental field data.
Develop statistical and graphical comparisons of model results and data.
Prepare work plans and reports.
Present study results to clients, regulators, and stakeholders.
Develop project schedules and budgets.
Support and mentor junior staff.
Complete the work in a timely manner.
Attend various STEM events.
Other duties as assigned.
Work experience, skills, and capabilities needed:
Senior Hydrogeologist are expected to have extensive knowledge of groundwater flow and contaminant transport fundamentals and routinely apply those fundamentals to solve complex environmental problems. Your knowledge should allow you to perform unsupervised work pertaining to:
General field characterization,
Well drilling, coring/sampling, and monitoring well installation,
Aquifer testing and analysis,
Tracer testing,
Data acquisition and evaluation,
Conceptual site model development,
Statistics and geostatistics,
Geochemistry,
Numerical groundwater flow and contaminant transport modeling,
Parameter estimation and Iterative Ensemble Smoother calibration,
Three-dimensional visualization and evaluation,
Programming and scripting,
Geology, geochemistry, and geophysics,
Remedial design and evaluation,
Applicable regulations and standards.
Demonstrated leadership skills,
Ability and commitment to mentor junior staff,
Demonstrated ability to lead and work within a team to solve complex groundwater problems,
Excellent oral and written communication, and customer service skills,
Experience conducting remedial design and characterization evaluations,
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills including a thorough understanding of hydrogeological and contaminant transport processes and principles,
Demonstrated experience with PFAS/PFOA.
This position is required to travel 10% of the time.
Additional qualifications, experience, or proficiencies desired but not required:
Numerical groundwater flow and transport modeling using parameter estimation and iterative ensemble smoother calibration techniques,
Groundwater Vistas, Modflow-USG, MT3DMS and PHT3D-USG,
GIS and 3-D Visualization and Analysis,
Python and R programming.
Technical knowledge, certifications/licenses, and software proficiency required:
Valid driver’s license

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:
