What you can look forward to as a Human Resources Manager:
Coach and counsel leaders on employee related situations and issues.
Develops, recommends various human resources plans and procedures for location personnel. Plans, organizes and controls all activities of the department. Participates in developing department goals, objectives and systems.
Direct designated activities associated with assigned projects. Prepares budget of human resources operations. Prepares forecasts to project employment needs.
Conducts recruitment efforts for all exempt and nonexempt personnel, students and temporary employees; conducts new employee orientations; monitors career element program, employee relations counseling, outplacement counseling, exit interviews, writes and places advertisements.
Prepares reports such as employee separation notices and related documentation, and conducts exit interviews to determine reasons behind separations. Also prepares reports and recommends procedures to reduce absenteeism and turnover.
Work closely with plant leadership team and other team members to accomplish goals and objectives. Plans, organizes and controls all activities of the department. Participates in developing department goals, objectives and systems. Plans and develops programs to foster positive attitude toward company goals, to ensure compliance with federal and state laws, and to advise department managers of company policy regarding equal employment, compensation and benefits, health and safety and training.
Encourage employee involvement throughout the organization; actively participate in suggestion and other involvement initiatives; Lead change initiatives and pilot programs. Promote Safety and Health within the Plant.
Develop and continuously improve communication systems throughout the corporate environment. Counsels and advises employees and provides communication systems to ensure maximum job effectiveness.
Develops and maintains affirmative action program; files EEO-1 annually; maintains other records, reports and logs to conform to EEO regulations.
Administers performance review program to ensure effectiveness, compliance and equity within organization.
Your Profile as a Human Resources Manager:
Bachelor’s degree
10+ years of progressive HR experience.
Experience in human resources including employment, training, benefits, and wage and salary administration, communication and continuous improvement.
Proven experience with maintaining positive climate
Knowledge of manufacturing environment including flexible shift models.
Requires strong interpersonal, facilitation, and organizational skills.
Supervisory experience preferred.
Written and verbal communication skills.
Creative and problem solving ability.
PHR or SPHR certification preferred.
Working knowledge of ADP preferred.
Working knowledge of SAP preferred.
