Description
MDU Resources Group, Inc., the largest publicly traded company headquartered in North Dakota, with operations, customers, and more than 10,000 employees across the country is seeking a Human Resources professional, with exceptional public speaking/presentation skills to perform a variety of HR generalist functions. This role will focus on facilitating training initiatives, supporting retirement processes, and benefits administration. Other duties may include the following areas: drug and alcohol testing, staffing, organizational development, and employee relations. All MDU Resources employees are responsible for placing safety as #1 priority in their day-to-day work routines for themselves and others.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Must possess working knowledge of business and human resource practices at a level normally acquired through completion of a four-year degree in business administration or human resources management or related field or equivalent experience; and
Two years human resources experience.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
Must take all measures necessary to protect networks, devices, programs and data from cyber-attack, damage or unauthorized access.
May be required to maintain a valid driver’s license.
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States, no sponsorships considered.
Subject to pre-employment drug testing and background checks.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree.
Familiar with human resources software applications such as JDE, Oracle or UKG.
Human resources certification
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Focusing on current and new retirees, administers functions in benefits area including day-to-day vendor interface, reporting, communicating accurate benefit information, and preparing documents.
Provides assistance and responds to complex questions from employees, supervisors, and retirees on policy or benefit questions.
Provide assistance in aspects of employee relations function, including the interpretation and application of Company policies.
Responsible for assisting in the development and implementation of training initiatives.
Responsible to cross train and back up various specialty areas.
Performs other tasks and special projects as assigned.
Offers typically made between - $60,320 - $75,400 Annually
