Duties and responsibilities: 1.Responsible for electrical systems,renovations, repairs and installation and supervision of electricalcontractors hired by the Bristol County Sheriff?s Office as needed.2.Responsible for ordering materials needed for the electrical division.3.Provide cost estimates for repair and projects involving electricalwork. Helps to prepare specifications documents of electrical projectsrequired to go out for bid. 4.Inspect work in progress and at completionto verify adherence or compliance with specification standards.5.Prepares reports as needed to supervisor and others regarding workactivities. 6.Utilize inmate labor on projects when necessary.7.Responsible for the supervision, control, custody of inmates in theircharge. Monitors inmate activity, operates departmental equipment, andresponds to inmate behavior patterns. 8.Supervises and monitors InmateWork Crews performing maintenance/cleaning duties in the correctionalfacilities. 9.Responsible for training and instructing inmates in theuse of tools and equipment and/or maintenance/repair practices andprocedures. 10.Transports inmates in department vehicles to thecorrectional facilities to perform work assignments. 11.Must meet allstate requirements & electrical standards 12.Design all new constructionprojects 13.Performs janitorial duties as needed 14.Maintains propercertifications and licenses. 15.Perform other related duties asdesignated by the Sheriff.
