About HR Transformation Manager

  Harlem Children's Zone (HCZ) - a world-renowned education and poverty-fighting organization based in New York - seeks an enthusiastic, dedicated, and mission-aligned HR Transformation Manager to join our team.

  The HR Transformation Manager will bring a passion for the mission of Harlem Children's Zone: break the cycle of intergenerational poverty with comprehensive, on-the-ground programming that builds up opportunities for children and families to thrive in school, work, and life.

  The HR Transformation Manager is Responsible for identifying and assessing areas within HR that require transformation to enhance efficiency, competitiveness, and adaptability to evolving market conditions. In collaboration with CHRO, the HR Transformation Manager will analyze current processes, technologies, and strategies, and help develop a comprehensive transformation plan, leverage automation to improve operational HR efficiency and oversee the redesign and deployment of diverse programs and initiatives to sustain the overall function transformation. Reporting to CHRO, this is an individual contributor leading varied work streams with impactful deliverables. This is a hybrid role with three days required in NYC office.

  Minimum Qualifications

  Bachelor's Degree in HR, Business Management, or related field Minimum 5 years' experience in HR Transformation or buildout, change management, project management or consulting field

  Strong project management and organizational skills and strong business acumen a must Experience working with an HR department and understanding of the operating model for a matrixed HR functions Essential to have experience working with an external vendor, and managing a vendor relationship Strong stakeholder management in order to drive the project forward and ensure milestones are met Ability to adapt to business demands and act as a partner to facilitate delivery Confident self-starter who can work under pressure, using their own initiative and with the drive to work to aggressive deadlines and to see tasks through to completion Experience working to a project plan and delivering technology solutions on time A sound understanding of the project life cycle and different project management methodologies Excellent communicator and influencer, able to build relationships with colleagues at all levels from a range of departments, business areas and cultures in order to build consensus Highly proactive; Highly competent in MS Office products Experience designing and implementing operating models, organizational structures and management processes, leading change and transformation initiatives and driving leadership and team effectiveness Experience with project management approaches, financial management, and phases of the project lifecycle; proven experience leading multiple projects with varying scope and complexity Strong management consulting skillset, including project scoping and management, hypothesis development, research, benchmarking, and trend identification

  What you'll do

  Project Management

  Help develop and execute HR transformation strategy and multi-year roadmaps aligned to business goals Design and lead enterprise-wide change management strategy to drive adoption of HR transformation initiatives Lead complex HR change management and communication initiatives to gain buy-in and drive adoption of new HR programs, policies, systems and processes across the organization Provide operational and People process expertise and insight to support informed decision-making through process redesign and optimization across all People processes and systems Serve as first point of escalation for workstreams and set-up project governance centered around efficiencies Responsible for coordinating project planning, oversight of documentation and sign offs, tracking and delivery of activities, and working according to the prescribed project framework Accountable for managing vendor relationships with good, clear communications and ensuring strong collaboration between internal and external team members Both attend and lead frequent meetings with CHRO, Technology, Finance, MDs and stakeholders Maintain minutes and track actions, holding action owners accountable for delivery of key tasks Assess and manage risks and issues, and escalate with proper owners or CHRO Build to scale with HCZ's growth in territory/services expansion and complexity Ensure audit processes are built to identify gaps in standard work implementation with clear standards for action plans Lead development of best practices, SOPs, centralization, and auditing processes for HR Deliver compelling data and analytics at scale through dashboards that inform the direction of future HR work

  Executive Support

  Manage CHRO calendar; serve as Executive support Serve as point of contact on behalf of CHRO across the business Create and gatekeep of all confidential agendas, materials, communications, and processes Additional responsibilities as assigned

  The annual starting salary for this position is $110,000, with a comprehensive benefits package including employer-covered health insurance.
