Kforce's client, a leading produce wholesaler/distributor based in Bronx, NY is seeking an HR Generalist to join their team.Summary:The Human Resources Generalist will be responsible for administering human resources policies and programs. This position will work in a team setting to solve complex HR-related issues and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal employment laws. The ideal candidate would be able to work independently with minimal guidance, able to manage projects, results driven, and may act as a resource for colleagues with less experience.Responsibilities: HR Generalist will review policies and practices to maintain compliance Generate and analyze reporting information in areas including but not limited to payroll, time and attendance, demographics, applicant tracking, performance management, and turnover Anticipate and plan for long-term human resource needs and trends in partnership with HR Manager Assist in the formulation of objectives for personnel policies and procedures, and staffing goals As an HR Generalist, you will ensure company policies are administered fairly and consistently company wide Perform audit and compliance functions regularly on items such as benefits, personnel demographics, time and attendance, reports, and payroll information Maintain employee records in compliance with state and federal requirements Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual information audits Payroll processing Assist in conducting complex/sensitive employee related investigations Assist in the management and execution of bonus plans, merit processes, and routine/special request reports Performs other duties as assigned
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field or equivalent experience Experience in payroll analytics - UKG Knowledge of local, state, and federal employment laws and procedures Knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law Strong Project Management skills Strong Analytical skills
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
