Description If you have a passion for Human Resources and you're looking for an exciting, new Generalist opportunity, Robert Half has a great opportunity for you as a Human Resources Generalist. In this role, you will perform various HR duties, including managing employee relations, recruiting, conducting new hire orientation, and updating the employee handbook.
Key responsibilities
Maintain physical and digital files for employees and their documents, including benefits, attendance records, and annual reviews
Create & /or support a recruitment plan according to business and operational projections
Compare local, state, and federal laws to current internal policies and procedures
Collaborate with employees, upper management, and third-party vendors
Responsible for completing various tasks to support the daily operations of the HR department
Draft templates for various HR documents, including the Employee Handbook
Create employee engagement plans, including budget approvals and management oversite
Employee relations, including engaging employees and coordinating sensitive conversations
Evaluate employee performance, including assisting with annual reviews, appraising pay scales, and coordinating disciplinary action (including terminations if necessary)
Collaborate with other HR team members to oversee the hiring and onboarding process for new company employees
Develop official internal documents such as offer letters, appointment letters, salary adjustments, updates to the employee handbook, leave of absences, and warning/termination letters
Develop onboarding plans and train newly hired employees on HR policies, internal procedures, and regulations Requirements
B.A. or B.S. degree preferred, preferably with a Human Resources or Psychology emphasis
-Must be bilingual in Spanish
Proficient with office computer applications and software, as well as social media platforms
Eagerness to work independently as well as part of a team with flexibility and willingness to learn and take initiative on variety of tasks and projects
Excellent written and verbal business skills
Experience with full cycle recruiting
Prior experience with Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) and Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS)
Prior HR experience in a Generalist capacity
Strong understanding local, state and federal laws
The responsibilities of this position will require you to be highly professional; able to use good judgment and maintain a high level of confidentiality and sensitivityPrior experience implementing and coordinating Open Enrollment is a plus
