  JOB REQUIREMENTS: Position Summary: The Housing Program Coordinatorworks to end homelessness by providing families with housingopportunities, including landlord outreach and recruitment. TheCoordinator enrolls families from the Housing Priority List into programopenings within The Road Home. This position is responsible forverifying eligibility for housing programs in accordance with fundingregulations and our community\'s Written Standards. Once enrolled, theCoordinator assists program participants with housinglocation/placement, timely referral to case management, and ongoingprogram accountability. The Housing Program Coordinator will provideculturally inclusive, trauma informed programming and services and willincorporate best practice techniques into the programs. PositionResponsibilities and Essential Functions: To perform this jobsuccessfully, individual must be able to perform each essential dutysatisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enableindividuals with disabilities to perform essential duties ProgramManagement and Development Coordinate program management functions,including: When program openings occur, work with Coordinated Entry toidentify potential households, document efforts to contact thehouseholds, and update families\' information in HMIS as needed. Verifyeligibility for program participation. This includes using the communitywide priority list to fill program openings in accordance withenrollment criteria (e.g verifying homelessness, disability).Communicate with coordinated entry regarding outcomes from referrals.Maintain digital files for each household in the programs that includesnecessary housing documents. Collect necessary paperwork, upload to HMISand enroll household into appropriate HMIS project. Complete contractsand forms with families entering the programs. Work with families tolocate housing options. Recruit landlords for agency and/or communityprogram openings. Facilitate leasing of apartments. Facilitate financialrequests as needed (e.g. IDA, utility allowances) and keep a workingknowledge of the financial impact of program utilization (sponsors,county, HUD, United Way). Facilitate the transition of the clients\'care to the respective Housing Advocate. The programs that thisindividual will be primarily responsible for include, but are notlimited to: Tailor Place Apartments, The Ace Apartments, Fair OaksApartments, Housing & Hope (Phase I and Phase II), and The BreeseApartments. Operations Management Facilitate routine meetings withprogram staff as needed. Develop and/or update written program materialsas needed. Assist Housing Program Manager with program reportingrequirements as needed. Other duties may be assigned. Comprehensive experience in thefollowing areas: program manageme t, landlord/tenant law, working withpeople who have experienced homelessness, community outreach andadvocacy. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Ability to multi-task andunderstand different funding sources Knowledge of housing/homelessnessAbility to effectively manage tasks and engage in independent work Mustbe highly organized with excellent record-keeping skills Must be able todemonstrate culturally competent service delivery Competencies: TeamworkOrientation, Confidentiality, Collaboration, Thoroughness, TimeManagement, Good Oral and Written Communication, Flexibility,Organizational Skills, Initiative Additional Eligibility Qualifications:Must have and maintain a valid state driver\'s license, maintainautomobile insurance coverage and have access to an automobile. TravelTravel is primarily local. While performing the duties of this jobthe employee is required to use hand, reach with hands and arms, talkand hear.
