Purpose of Position: Performs routine job-related cleaning proceduresfor all patient rooms, ancillary areas, support areas & immediatevicinity of entrances, including trash pickup on the grounds.Description Must be courteous to patients, visitors, physicians,volunteers, & other employees of the organization. Under the generalsupervision of the E.S. Manager or E.S. personnel placed in charge, isresponsible for the following duties: Cleans patient rooms/ancillaryareas as assigned within the hospital & departmental policies &procedures including but not limited to: discharge cleaning, chemicalusage, terminal cleaning, or cleaning, floor care & refinishing, dry &wet mopping, vacuuming, carpet extraction, dusting, baseboard cleaning.Maintains cleaning equipment in proper condition. Stocks assigned areaswith clean linen. Removes small quantities of snow & salts walks inimmediate entrances. Replaces easily accessible light bulbs as needed.Dust/damp mop floors in corridors, entrances, stairwells, & other areasas assigned. Collects all trash: infectious, regular, recyclable, &soiled linen. Picks up & delivers E.S. supplies & food service items.Moves equipment & furniture. Operates power tool equipment. Washes walls& ceilings. Changes curtain, draperies, cubical curtains, & showercurtains. Shampoos furniture, carpets mats, etc. Strips, refinishes,burnishes floors. Responsible for adhering to established standards ofcourtesy. Interior vent & light fixture cleaning. Replaces call cords,TV cords, light cords as needed. Safely completes work tasks & reducesrisk to others. Must wear facility provided identification badge. Otherduties may be assigned. Qualifications Less thanhigh school education; or up to one-month related experience ortraining; or equivalent combination of education & experience. Abilityto understand simple instructions. Schedule Details: 80 hours per PP (40hours per week), 8a-4p, rot. days, E/O weekend & holiday
