　　Recovery Counselor (CIRC and HIV)

　　COMHAR is a nonprofit community based organization. Our mission is to provide health, and human services that empower individuals, families and communities to live healthier self-determined lives.We are currently seeking a Recovery Counselor.

　　Responsibilities:Provide opportunities for individuals receiving services to direct their own recovery process.Teach, coach, and motivate, individuals in the acquisition and utilization of skills needed to facilitate their recovery.Educate individuals about available service options and choices.Promote the utilization of natural resources within the community.Facilitate the development of a sense of wellness and self worth.Provide 24/7 on call emergency beeper coverage on a rotating basis.Working within the LGBTQI/HIV/AIDS community and Counseling.

　　Requirements

　　Requirements:At a minimum will have an associate's degree and 1 year work experience in mental health direct service.OrA high school diploma or GED and 2 years experience in human services which must include 1 year of mental health direct service.

　　Preferred work within the LGBTQI/HIV/AIDS communityDemonstrated computer proficiency in Microsoft Word.Knowledge (or willingness to learn about) community resources in Philadelphia area.Willingness to work flexible work schedule to include some evenings, weekends, and holiday hours.We are proud to be an EEO employer M/F/D/V.
