High School Baseball - Head Coach

The Head Baseball Coach at Danville Community School District is responsible for leading and managing the high school baseball program. This position requires a passionate and experienced individual with strong leadership, communication, and coaching skills. The Head Baseball Coach will be responsible for developing student-athletes both on and off the field, fostering a positive team culture, and promoting sportsmanship and skill development.
Qualifications:
Valid Iowa Coaching LicenserequiredPrevious coaching experience (preferred, but not necessary), preferably at the high school level.Extensive knowledge of the game of baseball and coaching techniques.Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.Ability to motivate and inspire student-athletes.Commitment to fostering a positive team culture and promoting sportsmanship.Responsibilities:
Coaching and Player Development:
Design and implement effective and age-appropriate training programs.Provide skill instruction and development for individual players and the team.Foster a positive and inclusive environment that encourages personal and team growth.Develop and implement game strategies and tactics.Program Administration:
Collaborate with the athletic director to ensure compliance with school and district policies.
Organize and coordinate all aspects of the baseball program, including tryouts, practices, and game schedules.
Manage equipment inventory and ensure the proper maintenance of facilities and report any needs/requests to DCSD Athletic Director
