  JOB REQUIREMENTS: Official Title: Heating/Cooling Plant Operator II (2positions) Business Title: Heating/Cooling Plant Operator II EmploymentClass: University Staff FTE: 1.0 Compensation: \$22.11-\$31.59 andcommensurate with experience FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Terms ofEmployment: Continuous Position Summary: Monitors, operates, adjusts,maintains, and repairs a variety of technical equipment for the campusHeating and Cooling plants to supply the campus with critical services.Must pass a pre-work screen to ensure the ability to perform essentialphysical functions of the position. This position is part of the 24/7plant coverage and may be assigned to various shifts, including arotating schedule that includes day, nights, afternoons, and mostweekends and holidays. Click for more details.Responsibilities Ensures safe and efficient operation of the plant andits associated equipment Makes regular inspections of plant equipmentand prepares equipment malfunction reports Cleans and maintains workareas and equipment Starts, stops, and adjusts equipment settings tomaintain operational requirements Maintains forms, logs, or reportsAnalyzes data and communicates recommendations on equipment and systemsoperations, both verbally and in written reports Adheres to safetyprotocols and procedures Complies with environmental protectionprotocols and procedures May work without direct supervision on shiftoperations Assists with preventative and corrective maintenance asneeded Assists in the training and oversight of new employees in theseand other safe and efficient plant operational...
