POSITION SUMMARYThe Early Care and Education Site Supervisor directs early care and education programs for children, birth through five years old, and their families. Ensures safety of environments and practices, high quality early care and education and family engagement practices and acts in the role required by the State of Missouri as the childcare director for the site assigned.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Demonstrating respect for the capabilities, backgrounds and cultural differences of families, children, co-workers, and the public consistent with trauma informed practicesInteracts with staff, program individuals, and parents or guardians in a manner that promotes the highest level of professionalism and teamworkSupervises center staff assigned to them, to include teachers, support staff, cooks, and janitorsEnsures that MO Licensing, Fire and Sanitation regulations are met.Ensures United States Department of Agriculture (USDA)/ Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) standards are always metEnsures that National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) Code of Ethical Conduct and CHS confidentiality and HIPPA requirements are always maintainedEnsures environments and classroom practices follow Creative CurriculumEnsures lesson planning is based on individual and group strengths and needs, posted, and adhered to by teaching staffTrains staff in developmentally appropriate and high-quality early care and education practices, Head Start Performance Standards, Accreditation, and other standards follow by CHS ECE programsProvide performance reviews, implements professional development plans, coaches and mentoring to staff working at facilityProvides ongoing monitoring of health and safety practices, facility checklists and incident report information to always ensure safety of facilities and practicesMaintains continuous communication with families and supports/facilitates staff and family communication as neededSupport and ensure collaboration with Missouri Part C providers and other community resources providing services to HS and EHS children and families to ensure best outcomes for children and familiesReports progress, concerns, issues to Area Supervisor for support, reflection, coachingEnsures staff time sheets are co plete and accurate before approving when scheduled by UKG and CHSCompletes training as stated by CHS policy HRD-P-022 - TrainingResponsible for promoting a positive Safety Culture is expected and necessary to make CHS a safe place in which to work. Safe work practices and policies for this position shall be reviewed and followedWorks closely and collaborates with the area coaches, supervisors, and managers.Other duties as assigned by supervisor.SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Associate degree in Early Childhood Education/Development or related field and two years of experience in the coordination of center-based care of children birth-five. An equivalent combination of experience and education may be considered. Must obtain an approved State of Missouri Directors Approval within 60 days of hire.REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
Strong communication skills both written and verbalStrong computer skillsPREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
Knowledge of UKG platform, Child Plus, Creative Curriculum, DRDP and Head Start Performance standardsMISCELLANEOUS REQUIREMENTS
