Job Title: Head of Analytics Product Family at Maxar

Maxar is actively seeking an exceptional and visionary Head of AnalyticsProduct Family, focusing on the analytics product portfolio (this is a VPor Senior Director role). The ideal candidate will be passionate aboutdriving product strategy, managing the product lifecycle, and ensuring thesuccessful delivery of cutting-edge AI-driven analytic products that meet theneeds of our diverse customer base. As a critical member of our productleadership team, reporting to the Chief Product Officer (CPO), theHead of the Analytics Product Family will drive all aspects of ProductManagement activities for their Product Family.
Responsibilities under your team's direction will span key functions ofProduct Management, including:
Product Strategy:* Develop and execute comprehensive product strategies aligned with thecompany's vision, goals, and technical capabilities.* Define tactical and strategic roadmaps for the analytics productportfolio, considering market trends, customer needs, and competitiveanalysis.* Lead the product specification process, ensuring clear and detailedrequirements for successful product development.* Support development of pricing strategies based on market analysis, costconsiderations, and value proposition.* Conduct customer segmentation to identify target markets and tailor productofferings accordingly.* Collaborate with Sales & Business Development to establish and nurturecustomer and partner channels to enhance product reach and create strategicalliances.
Product Ownership:* Collaborate closely with engineering teams to translate product vision andrequirements into actionable plans.* Participate in the Agile Development process, including backloggrooming, release planning, and sprint reviews.* Create and maintain epics and user stories to effectively communicateproduct features, enhancements, and user needs."Go To Market" Activities:* Collaborate closely with sales and business development teams to alignproduct strategies with revenue objectives.* Develop compelling product messaging and positioning that resonates withtarget customers.* Create sales toolkits, including product presentations, case studies,demos/vignettes, and competitive analysis, to support sales teams.* Support Opportunity development and capture pursuits.* Collaborate with marketing teams to develop effective product marketingcollateral, including brochures, whitepapers, and website content.* Conduct briefings and product demonstrations to showcase the value andcapabilities of our products.Product Management Methodology:* Develop and implement product management methodologies, processes, andbest practices that scale with Maxar's growth* Drive the adoption of agile practices, such as iterative development,user feedback loops, and data-driven decision-making.* Embrace Lean Startup principles, including the Minimum Viable Product(MVP) concept, customer intimacy, validated learning, innovationaccounting, nd the build-measure-learn approach.* Demonstrate understanding of key concepts from the Pragmatic Framework,such as market research, product planning, product specification,pricing & packaging, launch & marketing, sales enablement, andmarket feedback and iteration.* Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success andimpact of products, regularly analyse product performance, and makedata-driven recommendations for improvements.* Lead a high-performing product team, providing mentorship, guidance,and support to foster professional growth and drive excellence in productmanagement practices* Foster a culture of continuous improvement, experimentation, andcustomer-centricity within the product management team.Domain Expertise:* Understanding of geospatial analytics concepts (e.g., ObjectDetection, Object Classification, Change Detection, FeatureExtraction, Trends Analysis, Pattern-of-Life, Anomaly Detection,Contextual Understanding, and Course of Action) and their applicability touse cases like Facility Monitoring and Activity Monitoring.* Develop the Product team's knowledge and expertise in satellite remotesensing, earth observation, geospatial analytics, and related fields.* Understanding and leveraging analytics technology, especially AI/ML,Computer Vision, and NLP/LLM.* Knowledge of emerging trends and advancements in geospatial analyticstechnology and a proactive approach to integrating these trends into productstrategy* Familiarity with GIS (Geographic Information System), imagery
