Position Overview
As the Logistics Project Manager (US/Mexico), you will report to the Sr. Inbound Logistics Manager and provide direct support to the Escobedo Plant Senior Transportation Manager. As part of the Navistar logistics team, you will provide the project framework for operational and strategic initiatives with impacts to transportation operations and costs. This position supports Navistar commercial vehicle production at our manufacturing facilities in both the US and Mexico.
In this role, you will be responsible for managing projects and conducting analysis across multiple teams and verticals to advance inbound transportation equities.
Responsibilities
Building and maintaining productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders and teams, including Logistics, Supply Chain, Finance, Procurement, 3PL, and others
Performing non-technical project management, typically from initiation to completion, supporting Logistics team initiatives or programs from other business units
Creating and maintaining project status and tracking logs for multiple projects simultaneously
Working within a matrixed structure to ensure project timelines and milestones are met; leading some projects and being a contributing member on others
Enabling operational process improvements and cost reductions with regards to inbound transportation
Participating in cross-functional teams supporting company programs, projects, and initiatives with logistics- and supply chain-related analytics support
Providing periodic updates to multiple stakeholders, presenting information, and knowledge in a format that is easy to comprehend and understand
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor’s degree
At least 5 years of project/program management experience
OR
Master’s degree
At least 3 years of project/program management experience
OR
At least 7 years of project/program management experienceAdditional Requirements
