The Laboratory has certificationand accreditation through the College of American Pathologists (CAP),American Association of Blood Banks (AABB) and Clinical LaboratoryImprovement Act (CLIA). What You Will Do: Medical Technologists, orMedical Laboratory Scientists, perform moderate to high complexitytesting within the Clinical Laboratory. Prepares samples forexamination, using automated equipment and specialized instrumentation.Performs numerous complicated tests simultaneously; accurately evaluatescorrelates and interprets test results. Requirements: Bachelors degreein Medical Laboratory Technology or Associate\'s in Medical Lab TechMedical Technologist (MT) certification issued by the American Societyfor Clinical Pathology (ASCP), or Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS)certification issued by the American Society for Clinical PathologyBoard of Certification (ASCP BOC) needs to be obtained within 6 months,or Medical Technologist (MT) certification issued by the AmericanMedical Technologists (AMT) needs to be obtained within 6 months Underapproved circumstances, an extension may be granted for an additional 6months.
