About the Role:

We are seeking a Global Certification Lead with 10+ years of experience leading certification programs for technology companies to develop, launch, and grow Confluent’s global Data Streaming Engineer program.

Candidate should be self-motivated, organized, and collaborative, and able to conceive and drive complex programs in collaboration with various stakeholders. Reporting to the Head of Developer Education, candidate is expected to spearhead the certification program to reach community members and customers as we create this important new category.

Working remotely, you will play a crucial role advancing the Developer Relations Team’s goal to make Confluent’s Data Streaming Platform, and its constituent technologies, famous among developers.

What You Will Do:

Create a new certification program targeted at software developers and data engineers.

Work with subject matter experts to create exam questions

Define exam modalities, create program FAQs, distribute badges, define program benefits.

Develop a compelling certification webpage on Confluent Developer describing the program and linking to required resources elsewhere on the site.

Help define learning pathways required to support the certification.

Work closely with the Head of Developer Education to develop and oversee a strong certification roadmap.

Report quarterly Certification numbers for forecasts.

Define all certification-related event logistics.

Act as point of contact for all certification-related activities onsite.

What You Will Bring:

10+ years leading enablement certification programs for technology companies

Strong drive to identify and resolve problems to produce measurable results

Ability to see the big picture and support long-term strategy while tracking details

Exceptional planning, time management, and organizational skills

Experience using Tableau to analyze and understand data

Experience using mainstream project management tools

Excellent English communication skills, both verbal and written

We analyze and carefully consider several factors when determining compensation, including work history, education, professional experience, and location. This position has an annual estimated salary of $150,100 - $176,400, an annual bonus, and a competitive equity package.
