DescriptionThis position performs complex technical work applying knowledge ofcartographic processes and Geographic Information Systems in the assembly,analysis, storage, display and maintenance of the parcel layer in thegeographic database. Performs a variety of duties related to the creation andmaintenance of parcel records including ownership, sales data, legaldescriptions, tax areas, maintenance of taxing authority boundaries,mobile home information, and property tax exemptions. This positioncompletes complex analysis of recorded conveyance documents, court ordersand plats. Provides technical support in mass appraisal by the retrieval,manipulation and analysis of spatially referenced data. Also providesinformation to the public over the phone and in person concerning all areas ofassessment data and ownership records. This position must be able to work inan ever changing work environment.

$28.05 - $35.53 per hour plus benefits (see benefits tab on the jobposting). The position will normally start at $28.05 per hour.

QualificationsEDUCATION:
High School diploma or equivalent required. Experience in working withMicrosoft Excel and Word required. Technical knowledge of legal descriptionsor title work preferred. Experience in ARC/INFO and ArcMap softwarepreferred or any combination of surveying, GIS, automated assessmentmapping or education which provides the required skills, knowledge andability, subject to the approval of the Assessor.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
Experience in ArcMap software preferred or any combination of surveying,GIS, automated assessment mapping or education which provides the requiredskills, knowledge and ability, subject to the approval of the Assessor.Experience in working with Microsoft Excel and Word required.
